Brockport first-grade class adopted by J.B. Hunt, receives gifts and $1,000

First-grade teacher Julia Pratt has been awarded a total of $1,000 from Really Good Stuff and J.B. Hunt’s Adopt a Classroom Program to purchase new supplies for her students.

After a thorough process with a strong candidate pool, Instructional Coach Kelly Keenan was offered and has accepted the Assistant Principal position at Ginther Elementary School.

Randall Yu named Ginther Principal

Brockport CSD recently selected Randall Yu as the next principal for Ginther Elementary School. The Board of Education appointed Yu during the April 26, 2022, Board meeting effective July 1. Yu will be replacing Principal Debra Waye who is retiring at the end of June.

"Be a Light" challenge inspires Ginther project

Art teacher Mrs. Snyder was inspired when she discovered the "Be a Light" challenge. Using lyrics from the song by Thomas Rhett, Mrs. Snyder focused on kindness with her students throughout the month of December.

Ginther Elementary School is located at 300 Central School Drive. Take Rt. 531 to Rt. 31, turn right onto Commencement Drive (College at Brockport Entrance), then take the first right onto Central School Drive. Drive past the high school (left) and tennis courts (right). Ginther is on the right side, after the tennis courts.
